Reliable for about a decade

This regulator has a rather LARGE diameter pipe fitting for the main water line. It is a 1 1/4" diameter intake and output. It's heavy and built rock solid out of brass and stainless steel. My first one, the home builder installed on the house (12 years ago). It finally have up the ghost very slowly over time. I saw spikes in water pressure go up and down. Trying to adjust the water pressure screw caused a very slow leak around the screw threads. So I bought a brand new one, which is the exact model of the old. I guess the new one will last me at least 12 years or so. I could have bought the rebuild kit, but I didn't want to mess with that. I'd rather just unscrew the old and screw in the new. This model however is ultra F%^#ing expensive, so beware! But I guess you get what you pay for.
