original lasted 17 yrs. this has been in for a month and is working perfect
with out this I would had to put in a new fauset. It was ease to use. I order it and it was here in 4 days. I would buy from this co. agein.
Other faucet seal types are inexpensive, but at least this is easy to replace. This Am. Std. ceramic faucet cartridge never drips or leaks water, but does not last forever - the lubrication between the highly polished sealing surfaces eventually washes out and the faucet handle becomes difficult to adjust due to the friction. After about ten years of using our Elite kitchen faucet, we are on the third cartridge.
